Violin Cake
After looking at several violin cakes and not being impressed we decided to pull out Tabitha's violin and attempt to duplicate the original instead of imitating someone's interpretation of the violin.
Covered with MMF(marshmallow fondant)
I love the idea of the music papers. Stephanie carefully burned the paper all around the edges to give it an antique look. The roses give it color and a feminine look.
She did an incredible job on the bridge, it is made of fondant. You can click on it to see it better.

My advice for anyone making this cake...PLAN AHEAD! YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS CAKE LAST MINUTE! TRUST ME!:) You need sufficient time for the scroll to dry and the other fragile pieces. I was happy with the outcome although I would do some things a bit different next time...a learning experience.
